Answered Prayers

For almost two years now, many of my supporters and friends back home, as well as my friends here in Kenya have all been praying for my old vehicle to sell. God blessed me with a new vehicle (a 1994 Landcruiser) last August. The vehicle I purchased (with the help of a supporter) back in 2004 when I first came to Kenya was a Mistusbishi Pajero. It served me well and covered long distances on bad roads (and many walking paths and other off-road places). It hauled CGA staff members to weddings and funerals in other places; hauled football teams to tournaments, helped us visit so many of our former students at various secondary schools throughout the country, and has hauled a lot of school supplies back from Kisumu or Nairobi. Since the time the engine was overhauled two years ago, the Pajero has been having many mechanical problems and was not very reliable. That is when I began praying for a new vehicle. A year later, God answered that prayer.

After buying the new vehicle, I needed to sell the old vehicle to help with some of those expenses. Several interested people came and showed interest, but nothing seemed to work out. In fact, it really caused me so many problems (you can read about those in my previous blog posts).

In June I received an e-mail from a friend in the U.S. who said they wanted to buy it. I was confused and even thought that person must not realize that I am in Kenya because I knew there was no reasonable way to get the vehicle from Kenya to the U.S. He quickly e-mailed back and said that he was willing to give me the money for the vehicle and then I could give it away to another person or ministry that is in need of a vehicle. God is good! He does even more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

The next day I recieved an e-mail update from a missionary serving at an Environmental Base across from CGA. One of their prayer requests was for a vehicle. They are working on a big project and have a big staff, but no means of transportation. When I shared the idea with them, they were so thrilled to be given a vehicle. They told their staff and praised God for answered prayer.

So the generosity of one supporter has blessed so many people! God is good!

Someone was blessed to be a blessing to so many others half-way around the world!
